The SIMGASM Core Recline seat gives you a backrest adjustment to work with while setting up the cockpit. That is useful if you are still finding your preferred posture or if different drivers use the same rig and want different backrest positions.
Set the backrest first, then place the pedals so you can use their full travel without stretching away from the seat. Bring the steering wheel into reach with a comfortable bend in your elbows. Finally, position the handbrake and shifter. Adjusting the seat after mounting everything else can leave those controls farther away than you intended.
When to choose a bucket sim racing seat
The SIMGASM Core Bucket seat suits a build centred on a fixed driving backrest. Choose it because that configuration matches your preference, and check the listed seat measurements against the space you need before ordering.
The distinction matters: Core Bucket can fold for storage, but it is not a reclining seat. If you want to adjust the backrest angle while finding your driving position, Core Recline is the relevant option. Do not assume that every seat described as folding offers the same adjustments.
For drifting, check reach before choosing by appearance
During drifting, your hands move between the wheel and side controls. A useful seating position lets you operate the handbrake and shifter while keeping your torso settled. If you need to lean forward or sideways to reach a handle, revisit the control position before deciding the seat is wrong.
We would check three movements before final tightening: steering through the intended range without knee interference, pressing each pedal through its travel, and operating each side control without lifting a shoulder. These are practical setup checks; there is no universal seat angle that suits every driver.
Pair your seat with a cockpit and the right control mount
