The T598 belongs in SIMGASM's up-to-16 Nm Hobby category. The Hobby cockpit is the minimum tier shown here and gives the base a fixed aluminium-profile foundation for steering, seating and pedal repeatability. Its transient response still benefits from a properly tightened wheel deck; short force changes are easiest to feel when the mount is not moving with them.
You can also install the T598 on the stronger Club, Sport or Pro chassis. Consider Club if you regularly use the highest force setting, brake hard on a load-cell pedal or want the cockpit to accommodate a stronger base later. Thrustmaster products do not all share one cockpit pattern. Before checkout, compare the T598's official mounting diagram, bolt thread and permitted insertion depth with the exact mount variant on the cockpit page. Check whether an adapter plate is required and allow clearance for the housing, connections and your preferred wheel angle. A mount listed for another Thrustmaster base should not be assumed to fit.
