The SIMGASM Hobby provides a fixed aluminium-profile platform for this older wheelbase and leaves room to set a repeatable driving position. The recommendation does not imply that the T500 produces 16 Nm; it simply uses the lowest suitable class when an official rating is unavailable.
Legacy hardware often remains in service through several cockpit upgrades. The Club, Sport and Pro are all compatible stronger choices. Club is sensible when the T500 will be used at its highest settings for long sessions, when braking loads are substantial, or when a direct-drive replacement is planned. Age makes verification especially important. Identify the exact T500 or T500 RS base, consult its original mounting drawing and confirm the underside hole spacing, thread specification and safe bolt depth. Compare those measurements with the selected SIMGASM wheel-mount page rather than relying on a desk clamp or on compatibility with a newer Thrustmaster model. Also check housing and cable clearance before choosing the final wheel angle.
