View full detailsThere is no manufacturer-published newton-metre rating for the T248 in the official information used here. Rather than repeat an unofficial estimate, SIMGASM treats the wheel as an unrated model and assigns it conservatively to the Hobby tier.
The SIMGASM Hobby is the lowest recommended cockpit for the T248. Its fixed aluminium-profile layout keeps seat distance, wheel angle and pedal reach repeatable, addressing the movement that commonly comes with a desk-mounted or portable setup. This tier placement is not a hidden torque claim; it is the safe starting class used when no official Nm specification exists.
There is no compatibility penalty for choosing more structure. Club, Sport and Pro all leave room for firmer pedals, accessories and a future direct-drive wheelbase. If the T248 is normally run at its maximum force setting or the cockpit will carry a demanding brake, Club is the long-life step up and our guaranteed 100% flex-free platform recommendation.
Confirm the exact T248 version and follow its official cockpit-installation instructions. Compare the underside hard points, required fasteners and maximum insertion depth with the selected SIMGASM mounting variant; also make sure the integral housing and clamp assembly have enough clearance. A product page for a T300 or another Thrustmaster wheel is not proof that the T248 shares its pattern. Use a hard mount only where the manufacturer specifies one, and do not rely on torque class to establish bolt compatibility.
Hobby keeps the recommendation proportionate today, while the larger tiers remain available if the T248 is only the first stage of a longer sim-racing build.
