The MOZA R5 delivers 5.5 Nm of peak torque. Its direct drive motor sends steering forces through the wheelmount. A stable frame keeps the wheelbase supported as those forces change.
The original R5 Racing Bundle includes an ES steering wheel. It also includes SR-P Lite pedals, which use Hall sensors. You can move this combination into a dedicated cockpit.
A cockpit gives your wheelbase, pedals and seat fixed positions. You can then adjust their relationship around your driving position. This matters when replacing a desk clamp and movable chair.
The R5 has four mounting holes underneath its housing. Select Bottom Mount when configuring your SIMGASM cockpit. The correct mounting option connects the base through those underside holes.
The SIMGASM Bottom Wheelmount for the MOZA R5 offers height, depth and tilt adjustment. Club, Sport and Pro use this mounting system. Hobby offers its own compatible Bottom Mount configuration.
You do not need an additional adapter for this pairing. Your selected cockpit variant includes its wheelmount. Buy a separate mount only when replacing or changing an existing mounting setup.
MOZA includes a table clamp with the R5 Racing Bundle. The cockpit installation uses the base's underside mounting points instead. Follow the assembly instructions when selecting and tightening the mounting hardware.
The SIMGASM Hobby aluminium cockpit in Black is our starting recommendation for the R5. Its compact frame suits a first dedicated simulator. Choose the Bottom Mount variant for your wheelbase.
Hobby provides sufficient support for the original R5 setup. You can prioritise a suitable seat and driving position within your budget. Those choices complete the simulator you will actually use.
Club also fits the R5 with Bottom Mount. Its deeper main profiles provide extra structural reserve for a growing setup. Choose it when you already plan more demanding pedals or other hardware.
Sport and Pro are compatible options for a broader simulator build. Sport adds integrated cable routing and a structure ready for motion upgrades. Pro adds deeper main profiles and steel reinforcement at key mounting points.
All four series therefore belong in this compatibility collection. Choose between them using your complete equipment plan and available space. The R5 itself does not require a move beyond Hobby.
The SIMGASM Core Recline Seat in Black pairs with all four cockpit series. Its adjustable backrest helps you find your preferred seating angle. Add a compatible seat slider when you want adjustable reach.
Set the seat position before finalising pedal distance and wheel height. Leave comfortable clearance around your knees and elbows. Include space beside the frame for entering and leaving the seat.
Loadcell pedals do not automatically require a larger cockpit. Match the pedal deck to the braking forces you intend to use. Hobby can remain suitable when those forces stay within its published rating.
Choose Club, Sport or Pro when your planned equipment needs more structural reserve. Wheelbase torque and pedal load ratings describe different forces. A loadcell sensor's maximum rating does not directly equal force at the pedal face.
A heavier steering wheel changes rotating inertia and steering response. It does not increase the R5 motor's peak torque. Hobby remains suitable for the R5 when you change to a compatible wheel.
A larger rim also changes your hand position and knee clearance. Recheck wheel height, tilt and reach after fitting it. Adjust force feedback settings to suit the new wheel.
A freestanding triple monitor stand carries the screens on its own structure. You can therefore keep Hobby when adding this display arrangement. Choose a stand that supports your screen sizes and mounting patterns.
An integrated monitor stand attaches to the cockpit instead. Check its supported cockpit series, screen sizes and weight limits. Include the full screen layout when measuring your available room.
Yes, Hobby suits the original 5.5 Nm MOZA R5. Select its Bottom Mount configuration. Choose a larger series according to your broader equipment plans.
Choose Bottom Mount for the R5's underside mounting holes. Hobby, Club, Sport and Pro offer a compatible configuration. No additional adapter is needed for this pairing.
Your selected cockpit variant includes its wheelmount. Choosing Bottom Mount therefore avoids a separate mount purchase. Check the contents separately when buying an individual chassis component.
Hobby is our value recommendation for the original R5 bundle. Club adds structural reserve for planned hardware upgrades. Base your choice on your pedals and complete simulator build.
A freestanding triple monitor stand does not require a chassis upgrade. The stand supports the screens independently. Check stand compatibility and the total floor space before ordering.
