View full detailsThe G25 and G27 remain useful legacy racing wheels, but Logitech does not provide a manufacturer-published Nm rating in the official material used for this collection. SIMGASM will not substitute an enthusiast estimate. Both models are therefore placed conservatively in the Hobby class.
The Hobby cockpit is the minimum recommendation. It fixes the driving geometry and can make an established G25 or G27 setup feel more consistent without pretending the wheel produces a known torque value. The aluminium-profile frame also gives the shifter, pedals and future accessories a more permanent home than a desk installation.
A stronger cockpit can be a forward-looking purchase rather than a requirement imposed by these legacy motors. The Club, Sport and Pro are compatible options for upgraded pedals or an eventual direct-drive base. For long sessions at the wheel's highest setting, Club adds long-term margin and represents SIMGASM's guaranteed 100% flex-free platform recommendation.
Inspect the label on the exact wheelbase, then use the relevant Logitech mounting drawing. Confirm underside hole spacing, thread condition and permitted bolt depth against the selected cockpit mount. Older hardware may have worn inserts, missing original fasteners or an attached clamp that changes clearance, so check those items physically rather than assuming a shared family name guarantees fit. Pedal and shifter mounting should be verified separately from the wheelbase.
The recommendation is intentionally honest: Hobby is a conservative modern foundation for an unrated legacy wheel, and larger SIMGASM tiers remain ready for whatever replaces it later.
