View full detailsThe SIMGASM Hobby range is made for drivers who enjoy sim racing in their free time and want a proper fixed setup without filling an entire room. It is the natural step up when a desk mount or folding cockpit no longer feels stable enough, but a larger competition-focused chassis would add cost, size and weight that you do not need.
Hobby is the entry point to the SIMGASM cockpit range, yet it remains a genuine aluminium-profile simulator. Your wheelbase, pedals and seat stay together in one adjustable platform, helping you return to the same driving position every time you race.
The Hobby cockpit is intended for occasional racers, first-time rig owners and families who want a practical simulator with a clear upgrade path. Its compact footprint and relatively low weight make it suitable for bedrooms, offices, shared gaming rooms and other spaces where the simulator cannot dominate the room.
When paired with a compact Core Bucket seat and optional caster wheels, a Hobby setup can be moved under a suitable desk or into a storage cupboard more easily than a larger cockpit. Always measure the complete build, including the seat, wheelbase, pedals and accessories, before deciding where it will be stored.
Under SIMGASM's cockpit selection guidance, Hobby is suitable for wheelbases producing up to and including 16 Nm. That covers a broad range of entry-level and mid-range direct-drive systems while keeping the overall platform compact and accessible.
Torque is only one part of compatibility. The wheelbase mounting pattern, selected wheel mount, pedal forces, seat, accessories and correct assembly must also match your build. Check the compatibility information on the individual product page before ordering.
Choose Hobby when compact dimensions, manageable weight and value are the main priorities. Choose Club if you race more frequently, want a base profile that is twice as thick or expect to upgrade beyond 16 Nm. Sport and Pro are intended for more demanding hardware, additional adjustment and larger accessory configurations.
A stronger cockpit can always be used with lower-powered hardware, but bigger is not automatically the better choice for every home or budget. Hobby is deliberately positioned as the focused, space-conscious option: strong for its intended hardware range, easy to live with and ready whenever you want to race.
Hobby is a strong match if you race occasionally, want to move beyond a wheel stand or folding seat, use no more than 16 Nm and value a compact simulator that can be moved or stored more easily. If frequent competition, higher torque or a large accessory ecosystem is already part of your plan, compare the complete SIMGASM cockpit range before choosing.
