View full detailsIn its standard power-supply configuration, the CSL DD QR2 produces 5 Nm peak torque. That output is comfortably inside the SIMGASM Hobby range, so the SIMGASM Hobby is the correct starting cockpit for this collection.
At 5 Nm, Hobby provides far more stability than a desk clamp or folding wheel stand while keeping the chassis compact and accessible. It locks the seating, wheel and pedal positions together, which improves repeatability even when the motor itself is not at the high-torque end of the direct-drive market.
The optional Boost Kit 180 can raise a CSL DD to 8 Nm, which still remains within Hobby's 16 Nm limit. Customers planning a later move beyond 16 Nm can choose the stronger Club, Sport or Pro now; all are compatible but are not duplicated in this 5 Nm collection. For sustained maximum-force use with demanding pedals, stepping up adds long-term rigidity and is the basis of our guaranteed 100% flex-free platform recommendation.
QR2 identifies the quick release at the steering-wheel side. Before ordering a cockpit, verify the wheelbase's mounting holes and select the correct Bottom Mount, Front Mount or Side Mount variant. A precise bolt-pattern match prevents movement and ensures that the chassis can do its job.
This collection stays focused on the standard 5 Nm motor configuration while making the 8 Nm and future-upgrade paths clear.
