Start the Asetek La Prima on the correct 12 Nm tier

Asetek publishes 12 Nm peak and holding torque for the La Prima, defining holding as continuous output for up to 40 seconds. That equal peak-and-holding rating is useful when choosing a cockpit: the structure must stay consistent through a long corner, not only survive a short force-feedback spike.

At 12 Nm, the La Prima falls within the SIMGASM 16 Nm-and-under rule. The selected collection tier is the Hobby cockpit only. It is appropriately matched to the published output when the wheel deck, uprights and base joints are correctly assembled. Legacy recommendations that started at Sport are therefore unnecessarily high and have been removed.

Build stronger when the complete setup calls for it

Club, Sport and Pro remain compatible with the La Prima. Choose above Hobby for a high-force brake, substantial shifter supports, frequent rig transport or a planned wheelbase upgrade. A stiffer frame can also protect fine feedback from small connection movements during long sessions. Pro is the SIMGASM guaranteed 100% flex-free recommendation for customers who want maximum rigidity and long-term upgrade freedom, while Club and Sport provide practical intermediate steps.

Confirm the Asetek mount and your driving position

The La Prima can use Asetek's T-nut mounting system and dedicated front-mount hardware. Check the current wheelbase drawing against the SIMGASM Asetek front bracket or bottom wheel mount, including spacing, fastener length, engagement depth, quick-release clearance and rear-cable access. Do not infer compatibility solely because a bracket fits Forte or Invicta.
