Why 8040 rigs are the real sweet spot
For most sim racers, 80×40 is already “stiff enough” for a lot of direct drive wheelbases and serious load cell pedals, as long as the wheel mount and pedal area are designed well and you assemble the rig properly. That is why 8040 rigs are everywhere: they are efficient, strong and easy to expand.
