Do MOZA HMA150 actuators fit a Sport cockpit in 2026?

Do MOZA HMA150 actuators fit a Sport cockpit in 2026?

Yes, MOZA HMA150 actuators fit a SIMGASM Sport cockpit. MOZA states that the HMA150 works with cockpits that use European standard aluminium profiles of 40 × 80 mm or larger, and the Sport uses a 40 × 120 mm main profile. The SIMGASM Universal Motion Actuator Bracket Set lists the MOZA HMA150 by name and connects one bracket to each corner of the frame.

So the real question is not whether it fits, but how you plan the build. Below you read what the HMA150 does, what the Sport brings to a motion setup and which steps make the install smooth.

What is the MOZA HMA150?

The HMA150 is a four actuator motion system that MOZA brought to the market for home simulators.

The key specs in plain words

Four actuators lift and tilt your whole cockpit. Together they create pitch, roll and heave, so you feel braking, cornering and bumps. MOZA lists a maximum stroke of 150 mm, a maximum speed of 300 mm/s and more than 1G of acceleration. Heave is ± 75 mm, pitch ± 7.59° and roll ± 12.04°. Each actuator weighs 6.8 kg and delivers a peak thrust of 180 kg.

Payload and power

A four actuator system carries up to 350 kg. At 250 kg payload MOZA quotes the full speed of 300 mm/s and more than 1G, while at 350 kg the figures drop to 150 mm/s and 0.45G. The system runs on 48V DC, uses about 1500 W and has an integrated emergency stop. Mounting is bolt on.

Why does the Sport suit motion?

Motion puts very different forces on a frame than a wheelbase alone does.

A stiff frame that moves as one piece

With motion, the whole rig becomes the moving mass. The actuators push on four corners, so the frame needs to stay square while it tilts. The Sport combines a 40 × 120 mm main profile with a 300 kg rated braking load at the pedal deck and a motion ready construction. The goal is that the wheel deck, pedals and seat keep their positions relative to each other, even when the frame pitches under braking.

Cables that move with the rig

A moving cockpit pulls on every cable. The Sport has integrated cable passthroughs, so USB and power cables run inside the profiles. Leave a loose service loop between the rig and the floor, so no cable gets tight at full heave. Our guide to motion ready sim rigs explains this in more depth.

How do you mount the HMA150 on a Sport?

The bracket set does most of the work, so the steps are simple.

Use the SIMGASM motion bracket set

The Universal Motion Actuator Bracket Set contains four brackets made from 6 mm carbon steel. Each bracket connects through four bolted mounting points, one at each corner of the frame. It suits the Hobby, Club, Sport and Pro, and it lists the MOZA HMA150 among its compatible systems. Actuators and other hardware are not included, and mounting hardware needs may vary per actuator system.

Square, level and balance first

Build and square the Sport fully before you add the actuators. Then set your seat, wheel and pedals, because their positions decide where the weight sits. Place the brackets so the load spreads evenly over the four corners. Read how to level a sim racing cockpit before you mount anything.

What else changes with motion?

A few parts of your setup need a second look once the rig moves.

Screens, VR and seats

A monitor fixed to the floor stays still while you move, which some drivers find strange. A monitor stand mounted to the cockpit moves with you, and VR avoids the question entirely. SIMGASM founder Johan Akkerman races on a Sport cockpit himself, combined with a Formula Atlas seat, VR and motion. Read more about why SIMGASM's founder drives a Sport.

Noise and room

MOZA measured operating noise at or below 55 dB at 1 m at maximum speed, and at or below 58 dB with its official racing presets. The actuators also add height. Check your ceiling for VR and your space around the rig before you order.

Who tests this kind of setup?

SIMGASM checks its products in the setting where you use them.

Tested as a complete simulator

Every SIMGASM product is tested as part of a complete simulator rather than as an isolated component. Founder Johan Akkerman designed the full range, from the 3D designs to final inspection. He is a former Project CARS 2 world team champion and a DNRT BMW E30 Cup champion in 2023 and 2024.

Quick answers about the HMA150 and the Sport

Here are short answers to the questions motion buyers ask most.

Does the HMA150 need a 40 × 160 mm frame?

No. MOZA lists 40 × 80 mm or larger profiles. The Sport, with its 40 × 120 mm main profile, meets that.

Do you need extra brackets?

Yes. The SIMGASM Universal Motion Actuator Bracket Set connects the actuators to the four corners of the frame.

Can the Hobby or Club take an HMA150 too?

The bracket set suits all four SIMGASM tiers, and MOZA asks for 40 × 80 mm or larger. The Club uses 40 × 80 mm, while the Hobby uses 40 × 40 mm, which sits below that guideline.

Is the HMA150 included with the Sport?

No. Motion hardware and actuators are sold separately.
