Simucube’s ActivePedal changes what “pedal feel” means. Instead of choosing one mechanical feel, an active pedal can mimic many pedal behaviours by controlling force and travel electronically.

This is not a beginner upgrade. It’s a performance and realism tool for drivers who already have a stable cockpit and want to fine-tune braking consistency, trail braking feel and muscle memory.

Mounting basics and fastener guidance

ActivePedal mounting is usually done by clamping down with multiple screws. Use all mounting points if possible so the pedal cannot rock under load. If the pedal uses a 4–6 screw mounting method, treat 4 as the minimum and 6 as ideal.

Tip: Use washers and torque evenly. A slightly uneven clamp can create tiny movement that becomes a “mystery” inconsistency during trail braking.

How to choose pedal feel profiles

Profile 1: GT endurance

  • Stable force curve, slightly longer travel
  • Lower peak force for fatigue management

Profile 2: Formula sprint

  • Shorter travel, sharper ramp
  • Higher peak force if you prefer that style

Profile 3: Rain / low grip

  • More progressive ramp so you can modulate easier
  • Lower peak force to reduce lockups

  • Pedal angle: enough ankle range for modulation, not so steep that you cramp.
